I arrived in the Archipelago in early 2008 and had the good fortune of fishing with Andrew 'boss' Parsons for 7 months before he sold me his 2 boats, we had many good laughs and I can honestly say I learnt as much fishing with Andrew as I had up until that my point in my fishing 'career'. My first sailfish on fly was a highlight of our fishing together.
I grew up in Zambia and cut my teeth catching tigerfish on the Lower Zambezi, my fathers passion for fishing instilled itself in me tenfold and I have him to thank for a career as a fishing guide. My family moved to Maputo at the end of 1992, it was at Inhaca Island that I caught my first saltwater fish and my love of Mozambique and the Ocean was born. I have my varsity digsmate Darren to thank for letting me leech just a little of his prowess at the fly- tying vice and although we tied a lot more flies than we caught fish it was here that my passion for fly-fishing was born.
